WHAT WE DO

The Sheepdog Trials subcommittee is responsible for coordinating the sheepdog trials and related activities that take place at the show each year. They are also responsible for coordinating other sheepdog trial events that may take place at the Stanthorpe Showgrounds throughout the year.

The sheepdog trials is a competition conducted under the Qld Working Sheepdog Association Inc. rules. Sheepdog Trials are an exercise in speed and skill as the dogs and their handlers work sheep around a set course in a field. The dogs are judged on cast, approach, bridging, obstacle and general work.​

Sheepdog trials take place at 7.00am on Friday 3 Feb,  Saturday 4 Feb  and Sunday 5 Feb 2023.
