The Sheep and Wool subcommittee and are responsible for coordinating the prime lamb carcass competition and displays that take place at the show each year. ​

The Prime Lamb Carcass competition encourages lamb producers from the Granite Belt, traprock country and further afield to showcase the best of their livestock through a carcass competition. Judging is performed on the quality of the carcass and the competition provides a great opportunity for producers to learn more about the ‘trade’ specifications for lambs required by domestic butchers, and to compare notes over the finer points of feeding and genetics.
